Mr. Drake was born in Texas, but was raised in Licking County, where his family has lived since 1810. He is a graduate of Granville High School, received his undergraduate degree in History with honors from The College of Wooster in 1969, and his law degree from the University of Michigan in 1972. He joined Reese, Fitzgibbon & McNenny, the predecessor firm to Reese, Pyle, Drake & Meyer, that year, becoming a partner in 1976. He became of counsel to the firm in 2011. Mr. Drake’s practice focuses in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate Administration and Commercial Real Estate Law. He also works with many small business owners. Mr. Drake is an active member of the Licking County community. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Advisors for the Salvation Army. In the past he has served as a Trustee of the Dawes Arboretum, President of the Licking County United Way, President of the Granville Rotary Club, President of the Granville Historical Society, and as a Board member of The Midland Theater and the East Mound Community Development Corporation. He has also served twice on the Granville Village Council and as the Law Director for the Village of Granville. He serves on the Board of Directors of several local businesses. Mr. Drake and his wife reside in Granville, where he grew up, and have three grown children.
